With 26 gold medals, 20 silver and 20 bronze medals, India managed to finish inside the top-3 positions in the medal tally for only the second time in the history of the Commonwealth Games.
With at least 504 medals, India is now ranked 4th in the list of nations having the most Commonwealth Games medals.
Interestingly, India had sent 12 wrestlers to the Commonwealth Games 2018 at Gold Coast, Australia and all of them won medals
The 12 Indian wrestlers are Sumit Malik, Rahul Aware, Bajrang, Sushil Kumar and Vinesh Phogat bagged gold medals while Mausam Khatri, Babita Kumari and Pooja Dhanda clinched silver medals.
Meanwhile, Somveer, Sakshi Malik, Divya Kakran and Kiran settled for bronze.
With 80 gold medals, Australia topped the CWG medal tally for the 13th time overall.
